Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, King Promise, Black Sherif and R2Bees deserve diplomatic passports- Anne Sophie Avé
Former France Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie Avé is advocating for some top artistes from Ghana to be given diplomatic passports.
According to her, these artists; Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, King Promise, Shatta Wale, and R2Bees have marketed Ghana internationally better than some ambassadors, hence they deserve diplomatic passports.
Sophie Avé’s campaign comes following a great start of summer festivities abroad which these artistes have championed; Sarkodie is completing his Jamz tour in the US; King Promise shut down the Tottenham Sports stadium during Wizkid’s show, amongst others.
In a tweet reacting to the amazing performances these artistes have put across, bringing people from Ghana in the diaspora together, she wrote;
“Ghana 🇬🇭, you should give these guys diplomatic passports: they put Ghana to the world better than even the best ambassadors could in a lifetime @sarkodie @stonebwoy @blacksherif_ @shattawalegh @r2bees @IamKingPromise
