According to information gathered from shyblogafrica.com, Ghanaian musician, Ismail Mohammed Sherif, better known as Black Sherif, rejected an amount of GHc97,000 offer to perform at the Ghana Party, which was held in London over the weekend.
This whole conversation started when an organizer through Hit FM tried to explain to Ghanaians and people who attended this year’s annual party in the park why some Ghanaian musicians couldn’t show up as expected.
However, when tackling the reason why Ghanaian hiplife sensation, Black Sherif, couldn’t come to London, the yet to be identified event organizer revealed that Black Sherif’s management requested £50,000 (GHS 489,387) when they were prepared to offer £10,000 (GHS 97,786).
“According to an anonymous source [a member of the Akwaaba UK group], the group proposed an amount of £10,000 (GHS 97,786) as Black Sherif’s performance fee for the Ghana Party in the Park event. However, Blacko’s team was demanding £50,000 (GHS 489,387),” a tweet by Hitz FM said.
